Then, this is your chance as we are looking for a dedicated Senior Manager of the Implementations & Improvements team in Global Logistics & Distribution (GL&D). 
 

The position

As the Senior Manager for the Implementations & Improvements team, your main objective is to provide effective people management for your team, ensuring high engagement and performance. This involves setting clear directions, motivating team members, coaching them, and supporting their development activities. By fostering a positive work environment and promoting individual growth, you maximize the team's potential.

 

You will be expected to actively contribute to driving strategy and optimizations through project implementation within the area. By working closely with the rest of the management team, you will serve as a sparring partner, providing insights and expertise to shape the direction of our future supply chain, ensuring maximized value for our patients and the business.
Furthermore, you will handle complex issues and make important decisions involving several stakeholders across the Novo Nordisk organisation.

 

The job will give you a solid knowledge of the supply chain and the Novo Nordisk organisation as it requires a strong focus on stakeholder management across functions and organisational levels.
 
Your key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

 

  • Drive the project organisation in GL&D and support the different departments in implementing key projects.
  • Support the Director on all areas where needed
  • Initiate and drive projects across GL&D to improve processes and develop the supply chain
  • Drive Portfolio management at GL&D level
  • Drive development and best practices for project management
  • Responsible for projects across GL&D
  • Set standards for optimized processes across GL&D
  • Foster a climate of continuous improvement and innovations
  • Create and maintain an healthy and engaging environment in the team
  • Focus on people development (for approx. 10 employees)

 

You will independently drive several initiatives simultaneously and work closely with stakeholders across the organisation, which requires that you have a good overview and the ability to execute multiple tasks simultaneously.
 
Qualifications

  • An academic degree in supply chain, economics, engineering or similar
  • 3-5 years of experience with people management
  • Experience within supply chain and/or logistics & distrubtion is not a "must have" but considered an advantage
  • Project Management and/or LEAN management experience
  • The ability to set directions in developing business cases and constructively challenge on all levels of the organisation

 

On a personal level, you are curious, ambitious and have a critical sense. Building trusting relationships across organisational levels is natural for you and you can influence the organisation around you. You are fluent in spoken and written English. We expect you to have a great interest in Supply Chain processes and see every opportunity to improve the processes. 
 
About the department 

Global Logistics & Distribution is a central function in the Supply Chain organization in Product Supply, managing all cross-functional Supply Chain systems and processes. We drive and design the global logistics solutions enabling PS supply chain to deliver now and in the future- Together for the patients

 

We are approximately 80 employees in Bagsvaerd, Denmark, and 15 in Bangalore, India. The department is responsible for the global logistics and distribution of Novo Nordisk products between production sites, and to our affiliates and regional offices across the globe, including 3PLs. We focus on delivering high service while balancing the environmental footprint with fiscal impact. Our team oversees regulatory and quality requirements related to pharmaceutical distribution, managing distribution costs, and performance management of our warehouses and vendors.
