The position 
As a Senior Manufacturing Development Professional, you will bring your substantial scientific knowledge and technical expertise to the forefront, tackling challenges and refining our manufacturing processes. Your journey will lead you to become an influential voice in multidisciplinary project teams and decision-making processes.  

Your role will encompass an array of responsibilities, including: 

  • Providing problem-solving expertise to our global production sites during pivotal moments 
  • Updating and maintaining critical documentation, crafting quality statements, and managing process amendments 
  • Addressing technical hurdles with blenders, granulators, tablet machines, as well as in-process control systems and process analytical technologies (PAT) 
  • Analysing powder properties to refine tablet production methodologies 

 

In this role, your data-driven analytical skills will be key in discovering the most effective strategies to uphold exceptional product quality. You will thrive in a diverse working environment, tackling various tasks that come with both immediate and extended deadlines. 

The role is predominantly based in Taastrup, with some workdays spent in Måløv, and includes the possibility of 10-20 travel days annually. 

 

Qualification 
To succeed in this role, you: 

  • Hold a master’s degree in science within Pharmacy, Chemistry, Engineering, or a similar field 
  • Have several years’ experience within the field of Manufacturing or Chemistry, Manufacturing and Control (CMC) e.g., process or product support, transfer, or process validation 
  • Have extensive knowledge within the pharmaceutical industry and GMP 
  • Have experience within oral formulation and tablet production 
  • You possess good communication skills in both oral and written English 
  • ​​​​​​​​​​​​​​As a person, you are a team player – open-minded, engaged, and able to inspire and motivate your colleagues. 

 

About the department 
Emerging Technologies (ET) is a newly established SVP area in Novo Nordisk. We have a growing pipeline of new products, many of which are based on emerging technology platforms coming into Product Supply via internal development projects and externally acquired assets. ET is well-known for having a pioneering spirit as well as a curious and daring approach and we play a key role in developing and producing future treatments for millions of patients around the world.  

Within ET, our Manufacturing Development Life Cycle Management department comprises around 60 dedicated and talented professionals. We are united by a mission to ensure the continuous enhancement and optimization of our marketed products. Our expanding portfolio spans a variety of solid-dose products, with key focuses on Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT), diabetes, and obesity treatments.
