Brief Job Description

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Scientist to join our excellent team to work human endogenous retrovirus and their animal counterparts in cellular, animal and potentially translational settings. The starting date is as soon as possible.

About us

At Hervolution Therapeutics, our mission is to cure cancer and aging associated diseases. We develop active immune therapies capable of targeting virus-associated cancers & and age-related diseases. Our proprietary combination of novel technologies is designed to induce potent and diverse immune responses to unique antigens, thus providing broad and long lasting efficacy.

Hervolution Therapeutics was founded in 2019 and currently has 10 employees. Hervolution Therapeutics has built a very skilled and diverse team (5 different nationalities so far) that are working out of our office and laboratory space located at the Symbion Fuglebakken in Frederiksberg.

The Job

As our new senior scientist, you will be part of developing our platform and pipeline, organizing experiments, budget and timelines as well as conducting work independently and through team members. You will be part of projects where we study immune responses in cell models and animals and investigate if the induced responses are protective against various cancers and age related diseases, and you will be included in our work to expand our technology and indication base. The indications studied may be diverse, with immunotherapy and immunization technology being the underlying theme. Part of the work will also be dedicated to scientific support including providing reports for regulatory interactions. 

Qualifications:

We request you have a Ph.D and specific experience in the topics outlined below

Your profile

Required education/skills:

• Background within immunology, vaccines or inflammation research or R&D
• Experience in managing and developing projects
• Excellent skills in communication and working with team members
• Experience in planning and conducting cell line and animal experiments
• Experience in developing or implementing assays and analytical for RNA, protein and functional cell biology assays
• FELASA B or more and hands-on experience with animal work
• Comfortable in multicolor flow cytometry
• Good written and oral skills in English

• Wanting to make a difference in the fight against cancer and aging associated degenerative diseases
• Positive, dynamic, and open-minded
• Ability to work in a team and independently
•  

You may have:

• Experience in viral or mRNA vector production
• Experience in handling of human samples (PBMCs)
