To strengthen our team and help us create a better tomorrow, we are looking for a Solar Specialist to join our team. We are working alongside our customers on some of Denmark’s most significant projects within renewable energy. And we are thrilled to have contributed to projects like C2X Mærsk e-methanol production in Spain and Egypt and the first commercial offshore wind farm in South Korea.

You will be welcomed by more than hardworking, enthusiastic and friendly multi-disciplinary colleagues working in different areas of the energy transition, ranging from electrical transmission to PtX. Your nearest colleagues will consist of people working in the solar and onshore wind team.

Your key responsibilities will be:
• PVSYST and related metrological databases to estimate energy yields and assess plant performance,
• Project development process of large-scale solar projects when starting from a green field situation,
• Engineering design from early phase to FEED of utility-scale PV plants,
• Basic system design, e.g. single line diagrams with main electrical components in DC and medium voltage AC circuits,
• Solar plant optimization, in aspects such as DC/AC ratio, pitch and tilt selection and racking solutions.

We imagine our new Senior Solar PV Expert has 10 years' experience in a similar role, and preferably holds a B.Sc. or M.Sc., within Electrical, Mechanical or Energy Engineering.

Have excellent English language proficiency and you are effective in composing complex technical documentation.

It is also a plus if you have:

Knowledge of other relevant software such as RatedPower

Experience from due diligence processes in relation to large scale solar plants

Understanding, but not necessarily design capabilities, of the basic civil engineering issues involved in a large-scale solar plant such as drainage, foundation, and mechanical design

Owner’s engineering functions for design and construction phases of several solar plants larger than 20 MW each

Verification of grid code compliance and the development of equipment strategies to ensure grid compliance using inverters, batteries, filters, STATCOMs etc.
