Our customer, iPaper, is building a new product for the online catalogue space and need more talented people to achieve
their lofty ambitions.
WHAT IS THE JOB?
You will be joining iPapers current team of 12 engineers.
iPaper has a strong focus on teamwork, team progression, and making sure they build things properly.
Last year iPaper had around a billion sessions generating 50 billion requests. As such they need to make sure their system is running smoothly.
As a senior engineer a normal sprint would include
Creating pull requests with a focus on readability and maintainability
Helping spec and estimate tasks for upcoming sprints
Review PRs from your colleagues
Being a rubber duck
Pair programming / pair debugging sessions
While you will be spending a lot of your time working on iPapers new project codenamed “Horizon” you will also have tasks on other projects.
Your mission - should you choose to accept it - is to create systems that bring joy to colleagues, customers, and users around the globe.
WHO ARE YOU?
Internet savvy, web-aficionado, problem-solving, information-seeking courteous.
To succeed in this role, you need
Excellent English verbal and written communication skills
To be very experienced with C#
To be very experienced with TypeScript (or at the very least JavaScript)
Have a strong understanding of web applications and their unique challenges
To be used to teamwork and peer reviews
It will be a plus if you have experience with
Working in a SaaS company
Modern front-end frameworks like Angular, Vue, React, Svelte, Lit, etc.
AWS services such as Lambda, CloudFront, S3, etc.
To fit in with the team it helps if you enjoy
Memes, cake, dark humor, shawarmas, beers, gaming (including board games!), foosball, pool, 13:37, banter, tinkering with hobbies or technology, long passionate debates about the benefit and detriments of tabs vs spaces.
Even though iPaper is a Danish company based in Aarhus, Danish language skills are not a requirement to work there. The work/office language is English :)

WHERE IS THIS?
This is an on-site position, requiring you to live in commuting distance to our office (Aarhus, Denmark).
The work from anywhere policy enables you to work from home or from a hacienda in Spain (with reliable internet) when life requires it - but this is not a remote position.
You will start out 5 days a week in our office as you are being onboarded, to ensure the most effective learning and bonding with your new team.
ONBOARDING
Within the first hours of your employment, you take ownership of your first project; your onboarding plan. An elaborate series of introductions, learnings, and self-studies, designed to take you from zero to success in as short a time as possible.
THE CONSTELLATION
As a member of the engineering department, you will report to our VP of Engineering. He will oversee your onboarding, regular 1:1’s and career development.
