Shopper Activation Manager

Job Description

Drive category growth and create successful sell-out activities to drive the business through the development and implementation of the strategic customer & trade marketing plan. Based on market insights and consumer decision journey you need to initiate and stimulate the local and regional trade marketing actions, towards our retailers, both online and offline.

You will manage the performance of promotion spend, within the framework of the integrated A&P and trade marketing planning budget to deliver effectiveness for shopper activations, both online and offline.

You are responsible for:  

  • Define local shopper activation plans, ensuring they are customer-specific and aligned with the overall Nordic Marketing Activation plan.
  • Work closely with sales to drive business planning and activities for assigned customers, securing both sell-in and sell-out at key customers.
  • Ensure brand consistency on all consumer touchpoints at retailer channels.
  • Optimize product presentation offline be securing planograms are updated with right portfolio and supported with inspiring POS for 2nd placements activations.
  • Drive online excellence with relevant product content, especially for champion products, and support shopper activations to increase search reach, time on site, click-through rate, and basket size.
  • Based on sales analyse, retailer stock levels and consumer data identify gaps and opportunities. Monitor trade marketing activities and track their ROI to make clear recommendations for new activities.
  • Monitor brand and category performance to develop conceptual category deck securing future growth.
  • Create tailored customer POS for both offline and online and manage local merchandisers.
  • Stay informed about emerging trends in shopper behaviour and retail environments to ensure marketing plans remain relevant.
  • You are part of:

    The Nordic team of Trade & Shopper Activation Managers, where your responsibility will be handling selected retailers. The TSM team is part of the Nordic Consumer marketing team.

    To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience:  

  • Master’s degree with > 5 years of related experience.
  • Experience in trade marketing within an international mass market or consumer goods environment.
  • Experience driving and optimizing shopper activation in retail environments based on shopper data and insights
  • Strong track record of developing category growth stories
  • Experience with planning and budget management together with strong project management skills are essential.
  • Strong commercial skills in bringing the brand plans to life in retail environment (both offline & online)
  • Self-driven & entrepreneurial personality who takes ownership from day 1
  • Strong in communication; Influential and persuasive: internally with local and global teams and externally with customers and partners.
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to prioritize and work within deadlines.
  • Solid general business & marketing understanding in order to drive excellence in commercial triangle execution.
  • Fluent in English and Danish (written & verbal)

    Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities.
