Academic Work is looking for an experienced and proactive Site HSE Manager to join a global technology company for an exciting construction project in Denmark. This is a consulting role until August 2025, where you will play a crucial part in ensuring the highest Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards on-site. The project sites are primarily located around Copenhagen.
About the role
As a Site HSE Manager, you will be responsible for implementing, maintaining, and improving HSE management systems on-site. You will collaborate closely with contractors, external stakeholders, and internal teams to ensure compliance with Danish legislation, industry regulations, and the company’s internal policies. This role requires someone with a strong technical background in construction, electrical equipment, or a related field, ideally with previous experience in offshore projects looking to transition to onshore work.

Work tasks
- Implement and improve HSE management systems and ensure compliance with Danish legislation
- Develop and maintain HSE documentation in line with industry standards and customer requirements
- Collaborate with customers, subcontractors, and internal teams to enforce HSE policies
- Ensure safe work practices in construction and electrical equipment operations
- Maintain high standards in risk assessment and incident prevention
- Balance external stakeholder expectations while ensuring alignment with the company’s policies
We are looking for
- 3-5 years of experience in HSE management within construction or electrical industries.
- Technical background in engineering, health & safety, or a related field.
- Experience working with offshore projects, with an interest in moving to onshore roles.
- Strong understanding of Danish HSE legislation, management systems, and compliance requirements.
- Ability to communicate effectively and manage multiple stakeholders under pressure.
- A structured and integrity-driven approach to balancing internal policies and external influences.
- A high level of English proficiency, both verbally and in writing.
