We’re looking for a Site Supervisor and/or Construction Manager to join our District Heating team in Lyngby. As part of COWI’s Green Energy – Renewables and Green Fuels department, you’ll come to play a vital role in implementing pipeline systems that support sustainable heating solutions. You’ll work alongside the best experts in the field and gain hands-on experience in district heating for a greener future. Your key responsibilities will be:
Leading projects within implementation of network systems when converting gas to district heating or cooling Planning and conducting inspections, site visits and walkthroughs Manage negotiating with the contractors regarding changes, claims and finances in relation to the contracts Follow up on progress both in relation to design, supervision, and the executing parties. Ensure the construction and communicate issues and decisions between the partners both in writing and orally. Supervise meetings and write minutes and report progress, quality, risks, and finances. At all times be our client's representative on the construction site with day-to-day management responsibilities, including coordination and management of professional supervision both internally and externally. On top of that, you will have:
A strong experience within sustainable energy production, particularly in district heating systems and pipeline projects. Good communication skills related to contract management and negotiations. A curious, visionary, and proactive approach to problem solving – especially on site, when challenges occur, and changes must be applied at hand. The opportunity to also engage in other phases of district heating deployment, including planning, design, and implementation. A background as e.g. Mechanical Engineer, Technical Supervisor or Energy Systems Engineer with experience from district heating systems, as a welder, or as a contractor within construction or infrastructure projects.Professional written and verbal communication skills in Danish and English are required
