About the Job
As the Development Manager, you will lead and inspire a multidisciplinary team of software and hardware developers, driving collaboration, innovation, and efficient project delivery. Your role is focused on people management, fostering a supportive and high-performing team culture while ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
A key responsibility of your role will be to drive the successful execution of our strategic development project, ensuring it aligns with and contributes to our 2030 vision. You will be pivotal in bridging technical and business perspectives, nurturing talent, and delivering on long-term goals.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership:
Lead, coach, and mentor a diverse team of software and hardware developers.
Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment, promoting professional growth and continuous learning.
- Performance Management:
- Conduct regular one-on-one meetings, performance reviews, and career development discussions.
- Set clear goals and expectations while monitoring individual and team performance.
- Strategic Project Execution:
- Take ownership of driving the strategic development project to meet milestones and ensure alignment with the company’s 2030 vision.
- Ensure project deliverables contribute to long-term business objectives and innovation goals.
- Project Oversight:
- Oversee resource allocation, ensuring team members are appropriately assigned to projects based on skills and priorities.
- Collaborate with project managers to align timelines, deliverables, and milestones.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Serve as the primary interface between the development team and other departments (e.g., product management, sales, customer support).
- Ensure alignment of development priorities with business objectives.
- Talent Development:
- Identify training and development opportunities to enhance team skillsets.
- Recruit and onboard new team members as needed.
- Operational Excellence:
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity.
- Monitor and manage team budgets, tools, and resources.
- Stakeholder Engagement:
- Act as a liaison between the development team and key stakeholders, ensuring clear communication of technical capabilities and project statuses.
Your Education / Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline).
- Proven experience in leading software or hardware development teams, with at least 3-5 years in a people management role.
- Strong understanding of software and hardware development lifecycles, though hands-on technical expertise is not the primary focus.
- Experience with Agile methodologies and project management frameworks is preferred.
