Sous-chef for busy restaurant at Vesterbro

We are currently looking for an ambitious and detail-oriented sous-chef with training or a vast amount of experience in a busy kitchen to join our kitchen team at Mæxico Vesterbro at Vesterbrogade 58, Copenhagen V.

We are focused on creating an environment where our guests can enjoy excellent dining experiences at a reasonable price. We achieve this by providing simple yet flavorful food.

Our Expectations of You:

• At least three years of experience in a kitchen as a kitchen hand or chef position
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work at a high pace and manage multiple structured tasks simultaneously
• High awareness of food regulations and hygiene
• Completed Hygiene course 
• A desire to learn and develop along with the company
• You are able to work evening and weekends 
• You are accustomed to and thrive in a high-spirited and high-paced environment
• Can work with IT-systems in English (Such as inventory management and E-smiley)

Mæxico:

Mæxico originated in 2012 as Barburrito in inner Copenhagen, with the aim to introduce Danes to authentic Mexican-inspired food. Drawing inspiration from Mexico, California, and Copenhagen, the intention was to offer homemade, high-quality, and tasty Mexican food to the Danish populace. Since then, Mæxico has expanded with two more locations, including Nørrebro and Vesterbro. The menu features traditional tacos and burritos with various fillings, designed for sharing. In addition to the food, citrus fruits and agave spirits such as tequila and mezcal are central to the drinks menu, offering everything from margaritas to pink palomas and shots.
