We are now looking for a Start-up Trial Manager to join us on a temporary basis (maternity cover until June 2026) within Clinical Development Centre in Denmark!
The Position
In this role you will be responsible for managing and overseeing the clinical trial start-up activities across several countries within Europe, from feasibility to the first participant first visit (FPFV) milestone.
You will:
Act as the project manager for trial start-up, provide operational and therapeutic expertise to the project, overseeing trial management activities, ensure deliverables are met within agreed timelines and in accordance with scientific, quality, and regulatory requirements.
Liaise with the trial teams (Clinical Research Associates and Clinical Trial Administrators) in the CDC DK countries to ensure timely start-up of your assigned trials, including planning, conduct and co-ordination of project activities during trial start-up.
Pro-active identification and mitigation of potential risks and issues that may impact the start-up and other phases of the trial, drive a quality mindset within the trial team, and ensure audit and inspection readiness
Collaborate and interact with adjacent affiliates and their clinical teams, Head Quarter Trial Managers, Regional Clinical Project Managers, and other Novo Nordisk colleagues.
Qualifications
The start-up Trial Manager position requires excellent organizational, communication and project management skills, as well as a strong understanding of the clinical trial process.
Demonstrating and fostering a team culture of best practice sharing, providing innovative solutions, and openness to share learnings are essential for this role.
Additionally, you are our ideal candidate if you:
Hold a degree within life science or healthcare
Have significant experience in clinical research obtained at a pharmaceutical company and/or CRO, with in-depth knowledge of clinical start-up activities
Have strong problem-solving skills, a can-do attitude and the ability to prioritise tasks
Work independently while also being a dedicated team player
Bring solid project management skills
Have high proficiency in English (oral and written)
Enjoy working with different stakeholders across nationalities and cultures
About the Department
As the Start-up Trial Manager, you will belong to a team that consist of a mixed group of specialists in start-up activities, reporting to the head of study start-up. The Clinical Development Centre Denmark is responsible for managing back-office activities, such as project management and administrative tasks on clinical trials across eight countries (Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Ireland, Norway, Sweden and Switzerland). The CDC-DK is a part of the DK affiliate.
CDC Denmark as project-centric organisation becomes the backbone in clinical trials for all Therapy Areas, while leading across seven countries, as well as Denmark. Together with our colleagues across the value chain in Head Quarter (HQ) and adjacent affiliates, we ensure through scientific evidence that we can provide safe and efficacious treatment to people living with diabetes and other chronic diseases.
