Are you interested in European initiatives, funding opportunities, and supporting the green transition in energy and transport? DBI is seeking a motivated student assistant to join our newly established EU Office. In this role, you will support DBI’s participation in Horizon Europe projects and help expand its visibility in European collaborations.

The Danish Institute of Fire and Security Technology (DBI) is an independent research and technology organization specializing in fire and security technology. With over a century of experience, DBI supports companies and organizations by combining research with practical solutions and influencing safety standards on both national and international levels.
The Energy and Transport (E&T) sector is one of many focus areas where DBI contributes its expertise, providing services across design, approval, construction, operation, and incident management phases. From fire tests and simulations to risk assessments and compliance support, DBI plays a critical role in ensuring safety and supporting fast and sustainable transitions in this sector.
You will play an important role in:
Monitoring and identifying European events relevant to energy and transport, including EU project dissemination, partnerships, and conferences.
Reviewing DBI’s project results and compiling presentations showcasing DBI’s capabilities as a Research and Innovation partner.
Reaching out to potential partners to share DBI’s expertise and establish new partnerships.
Assisting in organizing dissemination international events, both online and in-person.
Screening and analysing calls for funding opportunities in Horizon Europe and related EU programs.

What We’re Looking For
A natural curiosity for technology and a willingness to dive into new areas of expertise to gain the understanding needed to effectively communicate and convey messages at a professional level.
Strong analytical skills to investigate, interpret, and synthesize complex information, enabling clear and impactful communication of insights.
Interest in EU institutions, funding instruments, and topics like the green transition in energy and transport is an advantage.
Proficient in English with excellent communication skills.
A proactive attitude and willingness to interact with professionals within and outside DBI.
Proficiency in Office tools, especially PowerPoint and Excel.
