Save the Children is dedicated to advocating for children's rights globally, working alongside local partners to make a meaningful impact on children's lives. We are currently seeking a student assistant (maternity cover for 8 months) to join our team, with a focus on supporting our institutional partnerships with the EU and our strategic partnerships with Danish foundations and corporations.
You will be part of our Middle East, Northern Africa, and Eastern Europe (MENAEE) team and will be supporting engaged colleagues who work across all regions.

YOU WILL
- Support and work with our senior institutional partnership advisors with tasks related to donor engagement and institutional fundraising for international programmes on education, child protection, MHPSS, health and climate change.
- Support the MENAEE team and the international department in their work on fundraising planning and compliance.
- Carry out data analysis of the MENAEE portfolio and the international department portfolio based on the award management system (AMS) and Power BI data. This includes both donor specific data and thematic data. Present this data in an organized and user-friendly way.
- Support the creation of information material and gathering of information and mapping of various companies and foundations, including consolidating information from various sources and translation from English to Danish/Danish to English.
- Provide document analysis and presentations of relevant EU strategies and plans, call for proposals and other funding opportunities.
- Update information management systems, including quarterly reporting to the EU and updating internal engagement trackers for the EU and companies/foundations.
- Perform ad hoc tasks for the MENAEE team such as tasks related to proposal development, donor reporting and support with developing communication and visibility materials.
YOUR PROFESSIONAL & PERSONAL PROFILE
We expect you to have:
- Knowledge of international development and/or humanitarian interventions.
- Strong writing skills and be proficient in written and spoken English and Danish.
- Experience performing various types of document and data analysis.
- Confident working in Excel and data platforms.
- Strong Microsoft skills and familiar with using power point for presentations, infographics, and layouts.
- Experience working with information management systems and databases an advantage.
- Knowledge of or experience with foundations and corporates or institutional partnerships an advantage.
- Be enrolled in a relevant bachelor or master's programme
As a person you must be systematic and solution oriented, with an independent drive and with strong collaboration skills.
TERMS & RECRUITMENT PROCES
Save the Children Denmark employs a hybrid working model to offer its employees flexibility regarding location of execution of work. Accordingly, as an employee, you can work from home during the week if the work allows it and in agreement with your manager.
You will be employed according to the terms and conditions of the local Collective Agreement between Red Barnet and the relevant unions.A prerequisite for employment is that you are enrolled in a study program.
You will work 20 hours per week and the hourly wage is 138,24 DKK.
