If yes, we would love to hear from you! About ICARS The International Centre for Antimicrobial Resistance Solutions (ICARS) is an independent, not-for-profit organisation based in Copenhagen. We partner with Low- and Middle-Income Countries (LMICs) to co-develop, implement, and scale context-specific solutions to mitigate antimicrobial resistance (AMR). AMR is one of the greatest global health threats, endangering effective prevention and treatment of infections. At ICARS, we turn research into implementable solutions with sustainable, long-term impacts in partnership with governments, international organisations, and local stakeholders to address this critical issue.
About the role ✨ We are looking for a Student Assistant to join our Partnerships and Communications Teams. This is a great opportunity for a student with a passion for digital communications, creative media, data management, global health and development. You’ll play a crucial role in supporting ICARS’ partnership and communications efforts and amplifying our impact on AMR in LMICs.
The successful candidate is expected to be enrolled in a Danish University with at least one-year of studies remaining. You will predominantly work from the ICARS office, based at the Statens Serum Institut in Copenhagen, Denmark.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain and update content on ICARS’ WordPress website, ensuring it remains user-friendly and functional.
- Track website performance using analytics tools, providing insights to support strategy.
- Graphic design & visual content :
- Create visually appealing content (infographics, social media graphics, reports) that aligns with ICARS' brand.
- Assist in developing templates and designs for reports and presentations.
- Video editing & multimedia :
- Edit videos for ICARS’ social media, presentations, and events.
- Support video production, showcasing ICARS' work in a creative and engaging way.
- Help manage ICARS’ social media platforms, including content creation and community engagement.
- Ad-hoc communications support ️:
- Organising existing assets – photographs, videos, project summaries
- Assist with the promotion of events and creation of newsletters
- Support team members with designing eye-catching PowerPoint slides and formatting word documents.
- Data and stakeholder information management
- Support the Partnerships Team in inputting and maintaining up-to-date data and contact information
- Support the integration of a new information management system in ICARS
Required qualifications :
- Currently studying for a Master’s degree in Communications, Media Studies, Marketing, Graphic Design, or a related field.
- Proficient in WordPress and basic website management.
- Experienced in MS Office, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Experience with graphic design tools like Canva or Adobe Creative Suite.
- Basic video editing skills (e.g., Premiere Pro, Final Cut, or similar).
- Detail-oriented, proactive, able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong communication skills in English (written and verbal).
Preferred qualifications
- Knowledge of Google Analytics (or willingness to learn).
- Interest in global health, sustainable development, or science communication.
- Experience managing social media platforms.

Terms of employment The position as student assistant will be covered by the terms of the collective agreement between between The Danish Finance Ministry and the Organisation for Salaried Employees HK/Stat (Organisationsaftale for kontorfunktionærer, laboranter og it-medarbejdere (HK)), according to chapter 6 in the agreement concerning hourly paid employees.
