We are looking for a student who wants to join the Test and Commissioning team in the Signalling Programme, based in Copenhagen.
The Danish Signalling Programme, the largest of its kind in Europe, is replacing the old signalling system on the entire national railway with new computer-based signalling technology (ERTMS Level 2, Baseline 3). Denmark is the first European country to implement the European Railway Traffic Management System (ERTMS) on a national scale.
The project is supported by an international supplier base and consultants from across Europe. You will become a part of an international team, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
The position
As a student in the Test team in the Signalling Programme, you will support and perform tests in the lab of the signalling technologies in use, mostly ETCS, but also interlocking, traffic management, train operations, network, telecom, IT security.
What you are needed for:
Student in Engineering with analytical skills and structured approach
We are looking for a student doing a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Computer science, with 1 or more years remaining in their education. It is valuable if you have background and interest in railways, in particular signalling systems. It will also be beneficial if you have previous experience in the testing field and possess some programming skills.
On a personal level, we are looking for someone motivated by teamwork, with good communication, problem-solving skills, along with a keen ability to learn. You can work on your own towards given tasks and deadlines or in a team.
Your English is fluent, written and spoken, as our office language is English, and the role includes writing reports and communicating with colleagues of different nationalities.
About the Section Test and the Signalling Programme
The Section Test is a team of 15 people working with test and commissioning activities in the lab and on site. The section is part of the area of Signalling Projects.
In Signalling Projects, we are around 100 employees. You will have the opportunity to collaborate and interact with highly skilled colleagues in many different areas, such as design and engineering, installation, testing, safety, project management, quality, documentation.

Salary
The position follows the Joint Agreement between the Ministry of Finance and the Public Employee Organizations - state area and the Organisation Agreement between the Ministry of Finance and HK / State, Denmark and the protocol for clerks employed by Banedanmark. The position follows the salary for HK students, which is 141,14 pr. hour.
