Are you a dedicated student, with native-level Dutch language skills, who wants to work part time as a Business Developer for our Dutch speaking market? We are 23,000+ bicycles strong, serving 300,000+ customers across +70 cities and looking to continue to scale! The job offers the ambitious goal of positioning Donkey Republic as the partner of choice for bike-share operations in the Netherlands, aiming at developing scalable and long-lasting local partnerships.
Donkey Republic’s journey continues to grow in the Netherlands - with around 3000 bikes across cities like Amsterdam, Rotterdam and the Hague, which we have operated for +7 years! We are now looking for someone to take it to the next level as we look to expand via city, regional and B2B partnerships in 2025 and beyond. We are looking for a motivated student, aspiring to become a business developer. You are a team player and thrive in an environment where we work towards shared goals. You are someone who can push forward proactively, both individually and collectively. Our city and project partners have access to the best bike share in the world via our incredible bikes, our customer-facing app, fleet management system and shepherd app. In projects where cities and transportation companies run large (public) procurement processes, Donkey Republic delivers hardware and software and also takes on the local operations.
You will be joining an amazing commercial team and report directly into our Head of Sales within the Business Development team in the Dutch Market. Your closest collaborators will be our Account Management team and Country Ops Manager (NL) as well as many other talented team members looking to change the world one bike ride at a time. The job can entail traveling to cities in the Netherlands such as Amsterdam, Rotterdam and the Hague and you ideally already have a network there.
Driving B2B leads across our different product lines such as corporate subscriptions, sponsorship, etc.
Working with long-term business relationships with municipalities, public transportation providers, or other independent companies and campuses looking to partner with us in our journey to make every ride count while adding value to existing strategic relations.
Inform our Go-To-Market Strategy for the Netherlands.
Participate in client meeting and face-to-face meetings
Assisting on Steering and organising the Dutch pipeline in order to close deals and build future growth.
Be structured, organised and value driven
A strong communicator, written as well as oral
Be good at building relationships and trust
Loves to interact with other people
Have experience with Business Development or Sales (a plus)
Be fluent in Dutch (native-level written and spoken) and in English (written and spoken)
Ideally have experience in sales and business development
Ideally have worked in the transport / mobility industry before (a plus)
Ideally have experience with working at scale-ups, or young and dynamic businesses (a plus).

You have a good understanding of the commercial team and how other departments support it
You have a good understanding of all key internal stakeholders supporting the Dutch market (including operations, account management, public affairs, marketing, etc.)
You have a good understanding of the key stakeholder mapping in the Netherlands from Donkey Republic’s perspective and how they compliment your own network and key stakeholder map.
You have a good understanding of the key deals and pipeline for the Netherlands
You have a good understanding of our GTM for the Netherlands
Within 3-6 months
You are fully onboarded to the relevant processes and can independently perform within your role and responsibilities.
You are building a strong pipeline to reach KPIs for 2025 in strong coordination with commercial Team Leads and other key stakeholders working in and for the Dutch market.
You are informing the planning and execution of the sales plan in the Netherlands and key KPIs to drive this forward.
You will inform the update of the GTM strategy for the Netherlands
Within 12 months
You have informed an updated GTM strategy for the Netherlands to drive future growth in the market via B2G, B2B sales in coordination with BD team leaders, public affairs, marketing, account management, operations, product, etc.
You have informed the sales plan and pipeline for 2+ years in the Netherlands and have complete understanding of your individual pipeline and KPIs to drive that growth.
You have successfully finished your first year as Junior Mobility Consultant in the Dutch market and have learned from your peers / other markets and identified processes in order to improve how we execute the next year’s sales plan and commercial planning.
