Dedicated Engineer for Emission Technology with a passion for testing and troubleshooting groundbreaking technologies on ships all over the world.

Right now, you have the opportunity to join the Engine Support department in Emission Technology group, and work with EGR, SCR and Carbon Capture. You will play an important role in:
You will:

  • Support costumers and crews on ships around the world
  • Test and troubleshooting with our Design and R&D departments
  • Be a key player in introducing MAN ES emission technologies
  • Joining us in our strategy of de-carbonization of the marine transportation
  • Responsible as Superintendent Engineer on site
  • Be working on state of the art technologies within new fuels and Emission reduction.
  • Together with us taking responsibility for the fight against climate change by introducing new and pioneering technologies

We imagine that you:

  • Are an Engineer or Scientist with interest for Emission Technology on  engines.
  • Have strong interpersonal skills and have the ability to communicate effectively with a holistic view
  • You are flexible with working hours and travel activity
  • Speak and write English fluently
  • Are a strong team player; can motivate colleagues and be motivated by colleagues
  • Willing to learn and share knowledge.
  • During a busy work day will have room for a smile and a good laugh
  • Furthermore seagoing experience is an advantage

Since all of our mechanical engines are controlled electronically it is important that you have a good basic understanding of both mechanics and electronics. You prefer to have oily fingers and to work in front of the computer, where you dive into technical drawings or communicate with customers. Furthermore it is important that you can see yourself in a very independent role and still be a team player. Finally, your unique knowledge and experiences from the engine room can bring tremendous value to our design and development efforts in Copenhagen. Welcome to the Engine Support department
In our Two Stroke Engine Support department you will work together with around 80 highly specialized colleagues, who play a key role in our Engineering and R&D organization. You will be an active and important part of one of our professional and skilled teams, rendering technical support to our customers on their ships and to the ship owners. 

Our Emission Technology group works with control systems, mechanics, hydraulics, test and measurement assignments focusing on the implementation Emission Treatment systems. Our work environment is relaxed and we value teamwork and knowledge sharing. We are a diverse team and we enjoy spending time on social arrangements.

Manager Michael Becker Sondrup describes the role and development opportunities: “We are continuously developing and improving our engines and you will be part of this ongoing development. This role is a perfect mixture of hands-on at the engines and follow-up in the office. During your development you will have influence on your career direction.”
