1.     POSITION AND DUTIES

1.1 This selection process (hereinafter referred to as the “selection process”) is intended to fill 1 (one) position of Support Assistant at the Embassy in Copenhagen, in a full-time capacity, with a 37-hour work week. The Support Assistant will perform general services such as receptionist, office messenger, courier, environment organization, pantry services and archive, support to the activities of the Official Residence and other similar tasks. The employee will work in various departments of the Embassy of Brazil in Copenhagen, such as Secretariat, Staff Affairs and Inventory, as designated by the ambassador of Brazil or an authorized representative.
 
2.  REMUNERATION

2.1 The initial gross salary offered is DKK 26.117,00 (twenty-six thousand one hundred and seventeen Danish kroners) per month, subject to applicable social security and mandatory tax deductions in accordance with local legislation (B SKAT).
 
3.  EMPLOYMENT REGIME

3.1 This selection process does not constitute a public civil service examination, and the position of Support Assistant does not qualify as a Brazilian civil service role or public function.
3.2 The employment relationship will be governed by Danish labor laws. Brazilian labor laws do not apply to the employment relationship.
3.3The contract duration will be undetermined. There will be an initial paid probationary period of 3 (three) months, after which the selected candidate may be confirmed in the position, provided they have submitted documentation as outlined in items 7.3 and 12.3.
3.4 The Support Assistant hired will work 37 (thirty-seven) hours per week on a full-time basis. Exceptionally, the employee may be required to work on-call or in cases of urgent service needs or emergencies.
 
4.  QUALIFICATIONS

4.1 The candidate must have:
a)    Minimum age of 18 (eighteen) years;
b)    Basic education level;
c)    Proficiency in English;
d)    Good knowledge of Portuguese;
e)    Good knowledge of Danish;
f)    Proficiency using Microsoft 365 systems;
g)    Status as a citizen or permanent resident in Denmark with a valid work permit;
h)    Ability to perform general service tasks and internal support services, such as receptionist, office messenger, courier, and others;
i)    Physical and mental fitness;
j)    Clean criminal record attested by Straffeattest.
4.2 Candidates with relatives up to the second degree with a public servant or local assistant employed at the Embassy of Brazil in Copenhagen are not allowed to participate.

 5.  NOTIFICATION

5.1 This Notice will be made public through the following vehicles from 30/01 to 16/02, 2025:

 5.2 All results and important information to the candidates, including the results, will be made public through means a and b above.
 
6.  SELECTION STAGES

6.1 The selection process will consist of the following stages:
a)    Registration, of an eliminatory nature;
b)    Curriculum analysis, of a classificatory nature;
c)    Written test, of a classificatory and eliminatory nature;
d)    Personal interview, of a classificatory and eliminatory nature;
6.2 The complete schedule of stages is in Annex I of this Notice. The Selection Committee reserves the right to adjust dates and deadlines, with the updated schedule published on the website of the Embassy of Brazil in Copenhagen and at the notice board at the Consular Section (Jens Kofods Gade 1, st th. 1268 Copenhagen K).
 


7.  REGISTRATION

7.1 Registrations will be open from 00:00 on January 31st, 2025, to 23:59 on February 16th, 2025, Copenhagen time. The date and time of receipt of the documentation by the Embassy of Brazil in Copenhagen is the one considered.
 7.2 Registrations will be conducted by sending the documentation listed in item 7.3 exclusively via email to [email protected], with the subject line “Selection Process 01/2025 – CANDIDATE’S NAME”.
 7.3 The documentation to be sent, at the candidate’s expense, includes:
a)    Registration form (Anex III);
b)    Detailed resume, preferably focusing on the desired position;
c)    Valid passport or identity document;
d)    Certificate of completion of basic education (Brazilian or foreign);
e)    Proof of citizenship or permanent resident status in Denmark with a valid work permit;
f)    Clean criminal record certificate issued by the Danish authority (https://politi.dk/service-og-tilladelser/straffeattest/bestil-privat-straffeattest) valid and issued within the last 3 (three) months;
g)    If Brazilian, even if holding another nationality, present:
i.    Electoral clearance certificate issued after July 2024 by the Superior Electoral Court (TSE);
ii.     If male, military enlistment certificate or discharge certificate;
iii.    Clean criminal record certificate from the Brazilian Federal Police, valid and issued within the last 3 (three) months.
7.4 If the candidate cannot timely present any requested documentation in item 7.3, the fact must be justified in the registration email, and the Selection Committee will assess the convenience of approving the registration conditionally, granting an extraordinary and non-extendable deadline for resolving the documentation issue.
7.5 Registration will be denied to candidates who do not present the required documentation listed in item 7.3 and are not covered by item 7.4.
7.6 The list of candidates whose registrations are approved will be published on the website of the Embassy of Brazil in Copenhagen and the notice board at the Consular Section (Jens Kofods Gade 1, st th. 1268 Copenhagen K).
 

8. CURRICULUM ANALYSIS

8.1 After the curriculum analysis, the Selection Committee will call the best qualified candidates, according to the compatibility between professional experience and the position's activities, for written test and interview.
8.2 Selection Committee has the discretionary prerogative to, based only on the curriculum, not to call candidates whose qualifications and professional experience are not compatible with the position.
8.3 The summon for selected candidates will be published on the website of the Embassy of Brazil in Copenhagen and the notice board at the Consular Section (Jens Kofods Gade 1, st th. 1268 Copenhagen K).

9.  WRITTEN TEST

9.1 The written test, which is eliminatory and classificatory, will cover comprehension of texts and writing in English, basic skills reading and writing in Danish and Portuguese, use of Microsoft 365, and basic math skills.
9.2 On the day of the written test, candidates must arrive 10 (ten) minutes before the scheduled time, with a valid original photo ID issued by an official identification authority. Candidates who do not arrive on time or fail to present the required documentation will be eliminated.
9.3 Candidates will not be allowed access to dictionaries, calculators, telephones, or any other reference materials during the written test, including electronic devices.
9.4 A score of 0 (zero) will be given to any candidate identified or caught attempting to use reference materials of any kind, resulting in immediate elimination from the selection process.
9.5 Candidates may request to view their test and file an appeal without suspensive effect against the test results, by prior appointment. The request for scheduling should be sent to [email protected], with the subject line “Selection Process for Driver – Test Review - CANDIDATE’S NAME”. Test review and appeals must be done in person at the Embassy of Brazil in Copenhagen.
9.6 Appeals or requests for review presented outside the stipulated time or in a manner other than specified in this Notice will not be accepted. The deadline for appeals is in Annex I of this Notice.
9.7 The Selection Committee’s final decision on appeals will be sovereign and definitive.
9.8 Candidates who score less than 60% of the total written test value will be eliminated.
9.9 The analysis of appeals and the final result of the written test will be published on the website of the Embassy of Brazil in Copenhagen and the notice board at the Consular Section (Jens Kofods Gade 1, st th. 1268 Copenhagen K).

 10. PERSONAL INTERVIEW

10.1 The personal interview, which is eliminatory and classificatory, will be conducted individually and in person at the Embassy of Brazil in Copenhagen (Jens Kofods Gade 1, st th. 1268 Copenhagen K).
10.2 On the day of the interview, candidates must arrive 10 (ten) minutes before the scheduled time, with a valid original photo ID issued by an official identification authority. Candidates who do not arrive on time or fail to present the required documentation will be eliminated.
10.3 The interview process will evaluate:
a)    The candidates' ability to communicate in English, Danish and Portuguese;
b)    The candidates' poise, manners, interpersonal interaction and relationship skills.
10.4 The decision of the Selection Committee will be sovereign and definitive.
 
11.   FINAL RESULT

11.1 The final result of the selection process will be published no later than 16:00h on March 5th on the website of the Embassy of Brazil in Copenhagen and the notice board at the Consular Section (Jens Kofods Gade 1, st th. 1268 Copenhagen K).
11.2 The selection process is valid for 12 (twelve) months from the announcement of the final result. During this period, approved candidates may be called, in the order of their classification, should new positions in the same job category arise, whether temporary or based on an annual contract.
11.3 After the final result is published, the candidate ranked 1st will be called by the Selection Committee to present themselves on a date and time to be set by Embassy of Brazil in Copenhagen, with the original documents listed in item 7.3 and 12.3. 
12.   HIRING

12.1 The hiring of the candidate ranked 1st is conditional on presenting the documentation listed in item 7.3 and fulfilling the procedures determined by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
12.2 In case of withdrawal, failure to appear on the call date, or failure to provide the required documentation for admission, the candidate will be considered eliminated from the selection process, and another approved candidate will be called, respecting the order of classification, and so on until the position is filled.
12.3 The candidate ranked 1st will have to present a medical declaration of their physical and mental health for work, issued by an official institution or doctor registered for no less than 6 (six) months.

ATTENTION: the aforementioned medical certificate must NOT contain specific information about the candidate's health conditions or refer to prescribed medications for regular use. The physician must only certify that the candidate is fit to perform the functions described in item 1.1 of this Notice.

 

 

 

 


13.   GENERAL PROVISIONS

13.1 The application for registration implies the candidate’s knowledge and acceptance of all deadlines and regulations established by this Notice. A candidate who makes a false or inaccurate declaration or fails to meet the conditions required by this Notice may be disqualified at any time.
13.2 Any omissions will be decided by the Selection Committee.
13.3 The Selection Committee reserves the right to amend and adjust this Notice and its annexes, with the publication of an updated supplementary Notice on the website of the Embassy of Brazil in Copenhagen.
