The team

The CCO department is an international and engaged group of 70 professionals with diverse backgrounds. Our objective is to act as trusted advisors to European Energy's senior leadership and the broader organization. We work on engaging, highly complex, and very often cross-functional projects that aim to unlock long-term growth for the company.

Group Sustainability is a dynamic team of 6 individuals committed to driving the sustainability agenda from a strategic and operational perspective. The team is spread across 3 different areas: Sustainability Operations, a Sustainability Program Portfolio and Sustainability Certifications. Sustainability forms a core part of European Energy’s 2026 strategy, where it is one of the main pillars, and all areas contribute towards the implementation of the strategy. Our team reports directly to the company CCO, and you will be reporting to a Senior Sustainability Manager.

We strive to accelerate personal development and best equip you with the capabilities and traits to drive impact. We do this through tailored personal development plans, and we promote a caring feedback culture with continuous coaching from both your direct leader as well as from our experienced project managers.

Lastly, we also believe that you learn by seeing and by doing – which we translate to inclusion and exposure to a vast landscape of different projects and stakeholders across the company. This means that as a Sustainability Student Analyst you will be involved in projects in a similar fashion to our full-time employees and take part in all project activities end-to-end including planning, meeting facilitation, communications, etc.

How you will create impact

As a Sustainability Student Analyst, you will focus on driving change through support across various sustainability initiatives from end-to-end. From the onset of your tenure, you will specifically engage in activities such as:

  • Support workstreams of Sustainability projects across different Strategic Sustainability Initiatives such as our Decarbonization, Resource Use and Circular Economy activities
  • Assist with the implementation of our Sustainability Operating Model, TCFD framework, Double Materiality assessment methodology and ESG due diligence tasks on an ad hoc basis
  • Lead your own assignments with close sparring from senior colleagues.
  • Solve challenging problems and bring recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Engage with and support internal and external stakeholders on the implementation of Strategic Sustainability Initiatives and investor reporting.

We are looking for an individual currently enrolled in a master’s degree in science, engineering, or sustainability. Moreover, we imagine that:

  • A curious mindset with a large appetite to constantly learn and grow
  • Is proactive and solution-oriented with a drive to create results
  • Have a positive and a I can-do it attitude when faced with new challenges
  • Engaging and supportive and comfortable working with stakeholders across diverse business areas
  • Has an analytical mindset and a logical approach to problem-solving
  • A strategic outlook combined with an eye for details
  • Has an interest in quantitative data management and data-based decision making
  • You are proficient in English
  • Familiar with Microsoft office package

With us you get

  • You will get the possibility to apply your knowledge from your studies to real projects.
  • Possibility to shape the Sustainability agenda in a leading, highly profitable company with a large appetite to move the bar even further.
  • Steep learning curve through problem-solving, end-to-end ownership of your work and opportunity to build a very strong problem-solving toolkit.
  • Possibility to learn from talented colleagues with top-tier consulting and sustainability backgrounds.
  • Significant exposure to several different decision-makers across our business
  • A strong platform for full-time career in Sustainability upon graduation
  • Great level of flexibility to build a good balance between studies and exams.
  • Opportunity to be part of our Next Generation Student Network, where our +100 students, interns, and trainees across the company meet for social and academic events.
  • You will be part of a truly international environment. With more than 41 nationalities represented in our HQ office you will hear a lot of different languages when you walk down the hallway.
