YOUR ADVENTURE
As the Tax & External Reporting Specialist for the West Europe Hub, you have the incredible opportunity to be at the forefront of shaping the future of tax within BESTSELLER. Your role is not just about executing tasks, but about being a catalyst for change and driving the organization towards greater success.

As you join our centralized Group Tax department, you become part of a dynamic group of specialists who are passionate about challenging the status quo and driving continuous improvement in the finance journey. Together, we will work collaboratively across offices in Denmark, the UK, Belgium, Ireland, Luxembourg and the Netherlands to ensure that tax compliance and reporting requirements align with the Group policies and industry best practices. You will first point of contact for all tax matters in Western Europe, and will work closely with the Hub team in the Netherlands and finance business partners in local markets.

THE ROLE
Tax Compliance and advisory

  • Responsible for accurate and timely accounting and corporate tax filings, in collaboration with external providers, ensuring all necessary supporting documentation is provided
  • Assist in tax planning and analysis to minimize the company's tax liabilities and optimize tax benefits
  • Analyze tax implications and financial risks associated with business decisions and provide recommendations
  • Manage tax audits for the countries of the West Europe Hub, supported by external advisors as required
  • Collaborate with internal departments and external advisors to resolve tax issues and inquiries
  • Stay up-to-date with tax laws and regulations in West European countries and ensure the company's compliance with these requirements and consider impact on the business
  • Lead tax training and development sessions for your colleagues in the West Europe Hub
  • Support Group Tax on ad hoc tax projects as required 
  • External Reporting

  • Prepare financial statements and reports in compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations
  • Ensure accurate and timely submission of external reports to regulatory bodies, such as tax authorities, statistical offices, and other relevant organizations
  • Assist in the preparation of audit schedules and provide necessary documentation to auditors during external audits
  • Collaborate with the internal audit team to ensure compliance with internal control procedures and identify areas for improvement
  • Support the resolution of audit findings related to tax and external reporting matters.
  • Who are you

  • Bachelor’s or Master degree in Accounting, Finance, Tax or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of tax regulations and accounting principles, particularly in the West European region
  • Prior experience in tax compliance and external reporting roles
  • Proficiency in financial analysis and reporting tools
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Knowledge of ERP systems and tax software is a plus
  • Willingness to travel
