Technical Document Controller

For our project, which is Northern Europe’s biggest construction project resulting in the longest immersed tunnel in the world, we are looking for a Technical Document Controller to implement and manage the technical, legal and regulatory documents of the vessels and equipment used on the Marine installation scope of the project.

The role of the Technical Document Controller is to support the technical management vessels and equipment by ensuring document compliance and availability in accordance with the project needs and company standard. The Technical Document Controller will be part of the Marine Technical Department and will work closely with the technical staff. You will have a close interface with the Technical Superintendents, Bridge team, Engine room team, suppliers, subcontractors, and other FLC sub-departments.

Who is FLC?

Femern Link Contractors, FLC, is the joint venture responsible for the design and construction of the immersed tunnel, tunnel portals and ramps. Our joint venture consists of nine international construction companies with individual experience in large infrastructure projects.

Main responsibilities (but not limited to):

• Ensure that documentation is properly allocated, organized, stored, and easily accessible.
• Maintain and update records of documents, including contracts, drawings, specifications, procedures and reports.
• Control document distribution and ensure all stakeholders receive the appropriate and up-to-date information.
•  Ensure compliance with internal procedures and regulatory standards for document control.
•  Review documents for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with standards before and during processing.
•  Implement and enforce document control procedures and best practices.
• Support the vessel management by maintaining all relevant technical documents, drawings, and specifications.
•  Ensure that project documents are in line with marine regulations standards and guidelines.        

Qualifications:

•  A degree or certification in a relevant field, such as engineering, maritime studies, or project management.
•  Proven experience as a Document Controller, ideally in the offshore or maritime industry.
•  Experience with vessel ownership/management is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in document management software, with a good understanding of MS Office and PDF management tools.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Fully conversant in English, both verbally and in writing.
