Technical Product Specialist (Markets, Metrics and Reporting)

As our new Metrics Product Specialist your key responsibilities will include 

• Create Compelling Investment Metrics: Collaborating with clients and the developers on the metrics team to create the metrics they need to provide them with the insights they need to manage their business. You will also help ensure that our core metrics are GIPS compliant by improving our test suite.

• Craft Data-Driven Narratives: During client onboardings and upon request, you will collaborate with clients to create stunning custom reports for their specific use case. This means joining client meetings and understanding their needs and then using our reporting service (Python) for data modelling and calculations and downstream of the result create stunning visual reports.

• Implement new data lakes: Leading the implementation of new market data providers by analyzing our client’s needs and making sure that we have the necessary data points for our calculations and client needs. Market data includes, but is not limited to, reference data for any asset class and ESG data.

• Help wealth managers soar to new heights: Joining product demos with potential clients as an expert on the product, being able to explain the more complex functionality and answer technical and very specific questions from prospects during a demo.

In our tech stack you'll find technologies like:

• Languages: TypeScript, Golang, Rust, PHP, Python, AWS CDK - whatever fit for the problem at hand.

• Infrastructure: AWS-based cloud environment with Docker for containerization.

• Workstyle: We follow a Kanban structure and embrace a culture of shipping fast and iterating constantly, keeping our workflow adaptable and responsive to evolving priorities.

We anticipate that you have / are

To excel as a Markets, Metrics, and Reporting Product Specialist, you bring a solid foundation in finance, technology, and client engagement, coupled with a detail-oriented and analytical mindset. 

We are looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes initiative, and approaches challenges with a solution-driven attitude. Key qualifications and skills include, all of which are not required:

Educational Background:

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Computer Science or a related field.

Financial Expertise:

• Strong understanding of financial concepts, including performance measurement, reporting standards (e.g., GIPS compliance), and market data across various asset classes.

• Experience working with ESG data is a plus.

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in Python for data modeling, calculations, and testing frameworks.

Professional Experience:

• Experience in a financial or wealth management setting is a plus.

• Hands-on experience working directly with clients to understand needs, deliver solutions, and provide technical support.

Soft Skills and Mindset:

• Exceptional problem-solving skills with an ability to think critically and analytically.

• Detail-oriented and thorough in approach, ensuring accuracy and quality in deliverables.

• Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
