Technical Promotion Manager for 2-Stroke marine engines

You will play an important role in:
As a promotion manager you will play a pivotal role in driving the ordering of our license built two-stroke engines and small-bore 4-stroke GenSets, with technical advisory and well-founded arguments, towards customers who are looking into ordering newbuilds of large merchant marine vessels. Your responsibilities will encompass managing the full promotion cycle; from assisting shipowners investigating newbuilding projects at an early phase, to help shipowners successfully specify our products in connection with their shipbuilding contracts at the shipyards.

Functioning as an expert, a trusted advisor and a thought leader, you understand how to direct your communication to different stakeholders. You have the ability to quickly comprehend our business both at  a technical and commercial level.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead promotion activities in specific countries, conducting technical and market analytical presentations, customer visits etc., all in close collaboration with our local offices, with the ultimate goal of securing orders.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives. Engage proactively with both regional and global teams to promote the growth of our two-stroke business, ensuring top-tier customer support and satisfaction. 
• Regularly meet with clients and colleagues. Therefore, you will travel up to around 60 days per year, but often just for a few days at a time – occasionally 1 week at a time if you are travelling outside of Europe.

We imagine that you

• Have a background as marine engineer, mechanical engineer, naval architect or similar
• Have 3+ years of experience, preferably from working in a technical department within the maritime industry
• Have strong communication skills, promote fruitful collaboration and possess good stakeholder management skills
• Are result-orientated and a high performer with a focus on working effectively and professionally
• Are passionate about our products, eager to learn more and share your knowledge
• Speak and write English fluently

Additionally, it will be an advantage if you:

• Are acquainted with marine propulsion systems and MAN Energy Solutions two-stroke marine engines and GenSet solutions
• Have great PowerPoint skills
• Have experience with presentations in front of a large audience
• Have experience working in large organizations
