What is the job about?
At DEIF, we develop advanced solutions for controlling and protecting power systems. Our electronic devices and solutions ensure reliable power for critical infrastructures such as hospitals and data centres, reduce fuel consumption on ships, and enhance energy production while extending the operational lifetime of wind turbines.

As our new Technical Writer, you will be part of a highly skilled team known for its collaborative spirit and high professionalism. Together with your five colleagues, you will be responsible for creating clear, user-friendly documentation that helps customers install, operate, and maintain our products. Your focus will be on writing new user guides, updating existing documentation, and ensuring all materials meet DEIF’s high standards for language, layout and terminology.

Your tasks & responsibilities

• Develop user manuals, operator guides, and installation instructions for new DEIF products.
• Analyse user needs to ensure our documentation provides the right information for successful product installation and operation.
• Create visual elements such as diagrams and images to enhance understanding.
• Ensure all materials adhere to DEIF’s language, layout, and terminology standards.
• Update and maintain existing documentation.

To attract the right candidate, we offer flexible work arrangements, including 2 home office days per week. The preferred work location is Skive, but we are also open to discuss the opportunity of working from our offices in Aalborg, Silkeborg or Odense.
 
What you’ll bring  
You probably have a technical background as an engineer (or similar) and excellent English writing skills. Alternatively, you have a language background combined with technical insight and relevant experience. Ideally, you have experience from a similar position as Technical Writer.  

As you will work closely with product managers, R&D, support, and marketing, it is crucial that you thrive on cross-organisational collaboration. You are curious and able to ask the right questions to stakeholders so that the key points can be conveyed in a short and precise manner. Moreover, you are thorough in your approach and able to explain complex technical information in a well-structured and easy-to-understand way.
