Technical Writer for DEIF A/S

What’s the job about?  
As our new Technical Writer at DEIF, you’ll be part of a talented team of four technical writers, working together to create clear, user-friendly documentation for our products. Your main focus will be on designing and writing new user guides, as well as updating and maintaining existing documentation.

You’ll also create helpful visual elements like diagrams and contribute to video tutorials that show our customers how to use our products and features. Your work will ensure that all documentation follows our high standards for language, layout, and terminology, and is published online for easy access.

In addition, you’ll coordinate with DEIF’s translation agencies to ensure our documentation is accurately translated and delivered on time. You’ll also host review meetings, gather feedback, and continuously improve the documentation to make sure it’s always user-friendly and accurate.

To attract the right candidate, we offer flexible work arrangements, including 2 home office days per week. The preferred work location is Skive, but we are also open to discuss the opportunity of working from our offices in Aalborg, Silkeborg or Odense.
 
The person  
You probably have a technical background as an engineer (or similar) and excellent English writing skills. Alternatively, you have a language background combined with technical insight and relevant experience. Ideally, you have worked as a Technical Writer and have experience creating visual elements and product tutorials. 

As you will work closely with product managers, R&D, support and marketing, it is crucial that you thrive on cross-organisational collaboration. You are curious and able to ask the right questions to stakeholders so that the key points can be conveyed in a short and precise manner. Moreover, you are thorough in your approach and able to explain complex technical information in a well-structured and easy-to-understand way.
