About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and highly creative video editor for a project. The project involves editing 24 individual 4K videos into an engaging 2D trailer with a duration of approximately 1 minute and 30 seconds. The trailer should be a thrilling mix of 80% scary suspense and 20% humour, filled with shocks, screams, screeching tires, and laughter to captivate the audience. The successful candidate will have a keen eye for storytelling and pacing, ensuring the trailer delivers a perfect blend of suspense and lighthearted moments.

The trailer will feature a Danish narration that will be added post-editing, so the focus will be on visually driven storytelling combined with dynamic sound effects.

Responsibilities:

• Edit 24 provided 4K video clips into a cohesive and captivating 1.5-minute trailer.
• Incorporate suspenseful and humorous sound effects, such as shocks, screams, and laughter, to heighten the emotional impact.
• Maintain a balance of 80% scary suspense and 20% humour in the trailer, aligning with the book's theme.
• Add compelling transitions, visual effects, and pacing to create an engaging viewer experience.

Requirements

• Proven experience in video editing, with a strong portfolio showcasing trailers, suspenseful content, or children’s media.
• Expertise in editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, After Effects, etc.).
• Strong ability to create a mood through editing, transitions, and sound effects, especially in genres involving suspense and humor.
• Knowledge of sound design and ability to incorporate appropriate audio cues for suspense and light-hearted moments.
