The position is for 2 years, with the possibility of prolongation.
About us
The Virtual Learning Lab (VLL) at the Department of Psycology, at University of Copenhagen is looking for a part time Virtual Reality Unity developer. We are an ambitious research group that does research in virtual and augmented reality with experimental psychology. About you
Your main tasks will be to translate research ideas into functioning VR environments. You will work closely with an international team of researchers (PhD students, Postdocs, Associate Professors, and Professors) that work across educational psychology, social psychology, and human-computer interaction. We hope you have interest in research, but your main responsibility is ensuring high quality software development.
You have a background in computational sciences or some other relevant field. You have both an interest and practical experience with Unity and C# development, and prefarably within VR. Maybe you have previous experience with games development as an indie developer or from a bigger studio. You will work with several research stakeholders with varying technical profiency, so it is key that you can communicate challenges and recommend technical solutions.
Qualifications
* Relevant Bachelor's or Master's degree in software engineering, computer science, medialogy, physics, or related field
* Proficiency in C#
* Professional experience with Unity
* Experience with version-control (git)
Additionally, it would be an advantage if you have one or more of the following qualifications:
* Experience with 3D modeling (e.g., Blender, 3DS Max, Maya)
* Experience with MoCap (e.g., OptiTrack, Rokoko)
* Experience with audio and video editing (e.g., Adobe Premiere)
* Experience with statistical analysis (e.g., R, Python)
* Experience with collaborative VR simulations
* Experience with networking
Conditions of employment
The working hours are 30 hours per week as an academic officer with salary and employment conditions according to the current collective agreement between PROSA and the Ministry of Taxation. There is the possibility of negotiating allowances according to qualifications.
