The Fehmarnbelt Tunnel is an 18-kilometre immersed tunnel connecting Rødbyhavn (Denmark) and Fehmarn (Germany). Once completed in 2029, it will be the world's longest immersed tunnel, featuring a two-lane motorway and two electrified railway tracks. The project includes large-scale onshore facilities, a 1-million m² tunnel factory, and a 500,000 m² working harbour. This groundbreaking infrastructure will significantly improve connectivity between Denmark and Germany, reducing travel times to just 10 minutes by car and 7 minutes by train.
